The NC Rebels defeated the Lakeside Warriors in their district opener 34-14. North Caddo won the coin toss and deferred to the second half. The Warriors first possession would end with a punt. On the first play from scrimmage LJ Dixon would take the ball 78 yards for a Rebels touchdown. The Warriors would respond with a 50 yard touchdown pass.

The score would be 6-6 at the end of the first quarter. The Warriors would score again on a 47 yard pass and after a successful 2-point conversion would lead the Rebels 14-6. With time running out in the first half Cole Copeland would score from a 2 yard run. The Rebels would convert with 2 points tying the game at 14. The rain and cold weather seem to hinder both teams as they struggled to execute their game plan in the first half. The Rebels would take the field in the second half determined to make sure the game would end with a victory.

As the rain passed and the second half began, North Caddo would have the first opportunity on offense. The Rebels would march down the field and score on an 18 yard run from Jayden Carter. On their next possession the Warriors would turn the ball over on their own 24 yard line. Jayden Carter would connect with Cole Copeland for touchdown making it the Rebels second score in the third quarter. The Rebels were not finished. On a fourth down and inches Cole Copeland took the ball 65 yards on a quarterback sneak.

After another successful 2-point conversion North Caddo would lead the Warriors 34-14. The Warriors would try in the fourth quarter to put points on the board but the “Choppa Boys,” the Rebel defense would go on to shut out the Warriors in the second half. Time would expire with the Rebels 34, the Warriors 14.

The Rebles will host Jonesboro Hodge next week in another district game.
