Virginia Jo Adcock Nuckols, 90, of Haughton, LA passed away on August 5, 2022. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Munnerlyn Chapel Cemetery in Ida, LA officiated by Rev. Brett Puckitt. There will be a time of visitation from 9-10:30 am on Thursday, August 11th at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, LA.
Mrs. Nuckols was born October 15, 1931 in Rodessa, LA and lived most of her life in Vivian, LA. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Vivian. She enjoyed sewing and was an accomplished seamstress. She was once a member of the Red River Quilting Club. She loved to garden and work in her yard. One of her favorite pastimes was reading. She had several jobs in her life, with her last being working in the insurance department at Centerpoint Energy.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Vance B. Adcock and Ruby Maddox Adcock, and her son Billy J. Nuckols Jr. She is survived by her children; Elsie Nuckols Koch and husband George of Houston, TX, and Joey R. Nuckols of Haughton, LA, her siblings; James W. “Buddy” Adcock and wife Gracie of Wake Village, TX, and Jessie Adcock Poe of Oil City, LA, her grandchildren; Rodney D. Wynn Jr. and wife Teresa of Longview, TX, and Joseph Koch and fiancé Brooke Russell of Houston, TX.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Koch, George Koch, Rodney Wynn Jr., and Joey Nuckols.
