North Caddo thumps Lakeside 46-6

North Caddo (6-1) faced off against the Lakeside Warriors in their first district game of the year.

North Caddo took advantage of an extra week of rest after the Ringold Redskins forfeited due to lack of player cooperation. North Caddo’s offense and  defense dominated the game and for the third time this season enacted the mercy rule beginning the third quarter. North Caddo scored six touchdowns in the first half running only 17 plays total.

The Game By Possessions:
The Warriors had five possessions in the first half that ended with a fumble, fumble, and 3 failed fourth down conversion attempts.
North Caddo had six possessions in the first half.
On their first they went 65 yards in 2 plays. KJ Black with the 65 yard TD—Hodge to Miller for the conversion. 8-0
On their second North Caddo went 46 yards in 4 plays. KJ Black with the 5 yard TD—Hodge to Miller for the conversion. 16-0
With 1:54 to go in the first North Caddo went 35 yards in 5 plays. This time it was The Fullback Aiden Brock with the 15 yard TD. 22-0
As the second quarter began North Caddo’s defense stopped the Warriors offense once again on fourth down. From the 23 yard line of the Warriors and North Caddo went 23 yard in one play.  KJ Black finding the end zone for his third TD of the night. Demarcus Williams on the conversion. 30-0
On their fifth possession of the first half Matthew Thomas would turn a busted play into a 12 yard TD run and connect with Juvontavious Hodge for the conversion. 38-0
With 24 seconds to go in the first half Matthew Thomas hit Omarion Miller in the flat and Miller did what any D-1 commit would do. With great blocking Miller went 65 yards for the TD after the catch on a run that was simply amazing. Thomas to Hodge for the conversion. 46-0 at the half.
When the second half began the mercy rule was enacted and the clock would not stop. The Warriors did score late in the fourth. The final score was North Caddo 46 Warriors 6.
North Caddo just proved to be too much for the Warrior team. The 46-6 score proved how the entire team, all three phases, has MVPs all up and down the roster.
North Caddo plays Joneborro Hodge Tigers next week at home. Game Time 7pm
